A Journey Through Solu to Khumbu
Your adventure begins with a scenic overland drive from Kathmandu to Jiri — often called the “Switzerland of Nepal” for its rolling green hills and mountain views.
From here, the trail passes through charming villages such as Bhandar, Sete, Junbesi, and Nunthala. You’ll walk through forests of rhododendron, pine, oak, magnolia, and fir. In spring, the hills are filled with blooming wildflowers.
As you move north, the landscape transforms dramatically. After joining the main Everest trail at Phakding, you continue toward the vibrant Sherpa hub of Namche Bazaar — the gateway to the high Himalayas.
A highlight of the trek is visiting Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region, surrounded by panoramic Himalayan peaks.
Higher up, forests give way to alpine terrain, glaciers, and dramatic mountain scenery. The ultimate reward is reaching Everest Base Camp and hiking to Kala Patthar for a breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori.
Cultural Experience
The Classic Everest Base Camp Trek is not just about mountains — it is a cultural journey.

-

-

-
