Detailed Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax from your journey or explore the nearby streets of Thamel, a lively tourist hub filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes.

In the evening, you will have a short briefing about your trek, where your guide will explain the route, safety tips, and answer any questions.

Today is a cultural and preparation day. You will visit famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple.

This day also allows you to prepare for your trek—checking equipment, buying or renting gear if needed, and ensuring everything is ready.

This cultural introduction helps you better understand Nepal’s traditions before heading into the mountains.

After breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna region.

The drive offers constantly changing scenery—rivers, green hills, terraced fields, and small villages. You will stop along the way for meals and short breaks.

Upon arrival, you can relax near Phewa Lake, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, or explore Lakeside.

After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village known for its culture and mountain views.

From Ghandruk, the trek begins. The trail gradually climbs through forests filled with rhododendron trees, small streams, and birds.

The walk is peaceful and not too demanding, allowing you to adjust to trekking. As you reach Tadapani, you will be rewarded with beautiful views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare.

4-5 Hours

Today you leave the main trekking trail and enter a quieter, less crowded route. The trail goes through dense forests of rhododendron and oak.

Dobato is a small and remote stop with basic lodges, offering a true mountain experience away from crowds.

5-6 Hours

The trail continues through forested paths and open grassy areas used by yaks for grazing. You will notice fewer settlements, making the journey feel more remote and adventurous.

Chistibang is a quiet settlement with a few lodges, surrounded by forest and mountain views.

5-6 Hours

Today is one of the most exciting days as you reach Khopra Ridge.

The trail climbs gradually and then opens up to wide, breathtaking views. As you approach the ridge, the landscape becomes more open and dramatic.

From Khopra Ridge, you will enjoy panoramic views of:

Sunset here is especially beautiful, with golden light falling on the snow-capped peaks.

4-5 Hours

This is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the trek.

You will start early and hike uphill towards Khayer Lake. The trail is steep and passes through alpine terrain with minimal vegetation.

As you gain altitude, the views become more dramatic. Khayer Lake is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, located beneath the massive Annapurna South.

The peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, combined with stunning mountain scenery, makes this experience unforgettable.

After spending time at the lake, you return to Khopra Ridge.
